OTSKONOGA: The Living Creek

Flowing through Biophilia Estate® is a historic creek known by the Oneida people as Otskonoga. European immigrants later called it Mink Creek and Trout Brook. These words describe its abundance, but not its spirit. Trout still swim in its waters, and mink still visit its banks, just as they have for centuries.

 At Biophilia Estate®, we honor Otskonoga not only as a stream, but as a living teacher, connecting Oneida traditions, linking paths and resting places. The Harmony Bridge we are building across it, stands as a tribute, weaving past and present with respect and care.
